Marijke has always been drawn to the complex, multidisciplinary nature of our global agricultural system and how this necessitates a systems approach toward problem-solving and sustainable solutions.
At Metabolic, Marijke leads a team of consultants with the ambition to help companies understand their role in a nature-positive future as well as help build the context for us to achieve it.
With a background in economics and corporate innovation at Rabobank, she has a deep understanding of the role of the private sector in the sustainability transition and has experience organizing this change.
Marijke holds a Bachelor of Arts in Food and Agriculture Politics from Mount Holyoke College and a master’s degree in International Economics with a focus on Energy, Resources, and the Environment from Johns Hopkins University.
