Marta is a graphic designer originally from Spain, specializing in data visualization. As her speciality suggests, Marta enjoys the process of distilling information from data and thinking about ways to present complex information in a clear, visual way. This brings Metabolic’s data sets and insights to life with famous maps, graphics, and colorful diagrams.

Having first joined Metabolic as Information Designer in 2017, she has been the Design Team Lead since July 2022, guiding our designers on their quest to make our research and findings more understandable, accessible, and attractive.  Her graphics and those of the team are part of her goal to raise awareness and make a real impact when it comes to sustainability and human rights issues.

Marta has a degree in Fine Arts at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master’s degree in Information Design at Design Academy Eindhoven. Her previous work experience was as a Graphic Designer at Telefónica and at the BBVA Innovation Center in Madrid.
