Murray leads strategic initiatives at Metabolic, developing strategic system change and innovation initiatives across the organization and its network.

Murray joined Metabolic in 2020 to help launch and develop the Ventures division, which works to help leverage entrepreneurial approaches for system change. During this time, Murray was part of the founding team of Fresh Ventures, a venture builder creating new-economy organizations and leveraging innovative ownership and finance models with the aim of accelerating the transition to a regenerative food system in Northwest Europe.

Murray’s decade of sustainability experience extends across the lifecycle of business, with a particular focus on the agrifood sector. From impact-focused startups, to SMEs within the burgeoning B Corp movement, and supporting large-scale food enterprises evolve their business models to meet the new social contract for business.

Murray started his career on UBS Investment Bank’s Graduate program, before spending 8 years building two companies in the creative industry.
