Peter joined Metabolic to use his skills as a front-end developer to help people make more sustainable choices. With the Metabolic Software team, he works on projects like the Alternative Materials Tool. He also supports Metabolic in various initiatives, such as a new tool that makes it easier to create our material flow diagrams.
While studying Interaction Design, Peter learned how to combine design, art, and technology. During this time he created physical interactive installations to demonstrate resilience and sustainability-related concepts, such as the tragedy of the commons.
Peter has had a long involvement with Fablab Amersfoort, where he made digital fabrication more accessible. He is a contributor to the design-focused Linux distro: elementary OS. He also helps people fix their electronics at repair cafes, hoping to ultimately inspire them to repair more of their belongings instead of discarding them.
