As part of Metabolic’s Built Environment team, Reinout works with city governments, designers, and other ambitious stakeholders to design and implement sustainable urban development principles and interventions. 

Reinout became interested in sustainable cities as a way to address global sustainability issues while studying Environmental Sciences at Wageningen University and TU Berlin. After completing a master’s degree in Urban Systems Engineering at the same university, he put his knowledge to use in the public sector and at an urban design firm. 

In addition to sustainability, Reinout is passionate about music, kitesurfing, and biking adventures.
