Sophie works as a consultant at Metabolic, equipping governments and businesses with the tools and strategies they need to transition towards a circular state. She applies her expertise in hydrology and experience in urban development to design innovative water systems, analyze urban resilience to climate change, and map out nutrients and raw material flows transported through the water cycle.

Diving into the global challenges during her Bachelor in Future Planet Studies, Sophie found water to be at the core of many environmental and social issues. This led her to pursue a Masters in Hydrology to specialize further in this field. Through her studies she became aware of the scale and complexity of the challenges we face, but was also exposed to the endless creativity and innovative solutions that arise in response. These solutions have inspired her to believe in the potential for a new kind of economy.
