Tenesha is a Senior Sustainability Consultant and Project Manager in Metabolic’s Built Environment team. With a decade of experience in sustainable urban development, her expertise includes design research, spatial circularity strategies for urban areas, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Tenesha sees today’s societal challenges—such as climate change, the energy transition, and the shift to a circular economy—as opportunities to inspire creativity and drive meaningful change.
Her sustainability journey began with a thesis on climate change’s impact on our living environment, which led her to advocate for changes in building practices and the connection between built and natural environments. Tenesha’s career has taken her to cities like Tokyo, Berlin, and London, where she has developed holistic strategies to improve urban sustainability, inclusivity, and liveability, reinforcing her commitment to a sustainable future.
Outside of work, Tenesha gives workshops to children on climate change, emphasizing the importance of teaching critical thinking, creativity, and sustainability transitions. She also co-leads a women’s network focused on inclusive urban planning. In her free time, she enjoys reading, working out, exploring urban and natural landscapes, and savoring a good cup of coffee.
