Born and raised in the Colombian mountains, Ana Mercedes has always had a deep sense of connection to the natural world. After completing her bachelor’s degree in economics, she worked for one of the largest banks in Colombia, where she quickly proved herself to be a talented analyst with a keen eye for detail. However, she was eager to use her skills to make a real difference in the world and address some of the pressing social and environmental issues that she saw all around her. Ana then worked for a number of governmental organizations and foundations that were aligned on these issues.

Ana then moved to The Netherlands and joined Metabolic’s finance team in May 2021. She is responsible for maintaining accurate records, ensuring that financial transactions are transparent and ethical. She also prepares timely and accurate financial reports that help the team management make informed decisions about the company’s financial future. She is proud to be part of a company where she can combine her passion for finance with her desire to make the world a better place.

In her spare time, Ana enjoys spending time with friends and family, crocheting, reading, and experiencing new adventures.
