Elise is a sustainability consultant for the Agrifood & Biodiversity team of Metabolic. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Science from Leiden University College and a master’s in International Land and Water Management from Wageningen University & Research. During her studies, she enjoyed working on ways to scale up diverse cropping systems using drone technology. She strives to support the essence of that work at Metabolic: supporting the capacity of stakeholders to integrate regenerative practices into farming systems by producing new insights, identifying solutions, and inspiring action.
Elise also loves to hike, garden, and be in nature to slow down, re-energize, and appreciate the little things in life. She likes to read, learn new things through workshops (especially related to food and sustainability), and dance salsa, swing, and rock-and-roll.
