With a background in both architecture and urban environmental management, she brings a combination of research and design to her role specializing in circular strategies for governmental organizations. She pairs technical knowledge of sustainable cities with a drive for an equitable urban environment. Material Flow Analyses, spatial analyses, and intervention design are at the core of her work.
Still a WWF Ranger at heart, Fenne has always been keen to care for her environment. Through her bachelor’s in Architecture, she realized how (invisible) systems shape our environment and influence the way we interact with it. Her master’s in Urban Environmental Management brought the much-needed depth in knowledge and analysis skills to understand urban systems.
Outside of office hours, Fenne volunteers for systems change at a small scale: cooking leftover vegetables and fruits, she provides free social meals every week at Groenten Zonder Grenzen (‘Veggies without borders’).
