After completing a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Engineering at TU delft, Jochem committed their engineering expertise to a sustainable cause. Studying Industrial Ecology, Jochem’s thesis explored dynamic stock driven material flow analysis based on stock demography statistics in the case of vehicles in the Netherlands for different future scenarios. Jochem currently focuses on quantitative solutions to reduce organizations’ environmental impact and improve material flows in a circular economy.

Jochem grew up in Zimbabwe, has a deep passion for the natural world and is committed to finding ways that society and nature can coexist in a mutually supportive way. In their free time, Jochem likes to perform contemporary soul music as a bass player in a 13-strong soul band.
