Lander works as a Data Analyst at Metabolic in the Agrifood and Biodiversity division, applying his data expertise and wide-ranging scientific interests to drive systems change and support the transition to a sustainable future.
With a great passion for life sciences, Lander studied bioscience engineering at Ghent University, where he discovered his talent and passion for scientific programming and data analysis. He pursued this newfound interest during five years of research and teaching at his alma mater.
While observing the critical state of our natural world, Lander decided to contribute to creating system change and joined Metabolic to support our mission to transition the global economy to a fundamentally sustainable state.
In his free time, Lander enjoys both outdoor and indoor activities, including fossil hunting, birdwatching, bouldering, cooking, board games, theatre, and live music (he is particularly active in the Belgian-UK ska/punk music scene as a keyboard player).
