Laurie supports strategic messaging development and content strategies that maintain alignment across the Metabolic ecosystem. He is also responsible for our editorial calendar and media engagement. 

After gaining a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Cambridge, he obtained a Master’s in Art History, Theories, and Critical Interpretations from the University of Bristol. He began his career managing communications and media relations for a London art gallery and has since worked for private clients, a UK Government Authority, and an NGO. 

He comes to Metabolic from leading communications for the Platform for Accelerating the Circular Economy (PACE) at the World Resources Institute, Europe (WRI). 

Laurie is motivated by impactful storytelling and clear narratives that bring complex ideas like systems thinking and the circular economy to life for broader audiences. 

He is a committed believer in the universal power of music to break down barriers and build empathy between people. A musician in his free time, you can find him playing the drums or guitar or taking in a gig. 

Laurie is originally from London and has lived in the Netherlands with his wife and cat since January 2023.
